Espen has so much attitude and character, we've never seen a dog with such an ego! He also seems to have some special charisma as he catches the eye of everyone wherever he goes. It's for example pretty difficult to walk with him in the dog shows, as there usually are people stopping us every other meter, as they just need to pet him or tell us that he is the most beautiful dog they've ever seen.. That's naturally totally ok by us; as long as he doesn't for example start to give autographs to his fans, we're fine :)

He is the favorite of everyone in our pack! Espen is also trained for sledding and is working nicely in a team. This boy has unbeliavable amount of strength in him, and you can really feel it when he is working. He has already made some modifications to our bicyckle; that wasn't apparently a husky-proof model.. But still that doesn't stop Jouni for taking Espen out with his rollerskates; talk about extreme-sports!

He also seems to inherit his eager to work to his puppies, and many of them are working well in sledding teams. Some of Espen's progeny has also passed the official working tests in Finland.

We are training Espen in obedience and that is also going nicely; Espen is so eager to work, no matter what it is he has to do.

He has also done extremely well at shows... It starts to be slightly difficult to keep track of all his wins, but Jouni seems to be sort of up-to-date on the matter..

By March 2009 he has accomplished the following:

2nd most winning dog in FCI group 5 in 2007/Sweden
3rd most winning dog in FCI group 5 in 2008/Sweden
4th most winning dog in FCI group 5 in 2008/Finland
17th on the Dog of the Year -list in Sweden-07 (all breeds)
9th on the Dog of the Year -list in Sweden-08 (all breeds)
7th on the Dog of the Year -list in Sweden-09 (all breeds)
He has won the group 19 times so far
He has won the BEST IN SHOW 4 times
He has gone BIS-2 3 times
He has gone BIS-3 3 times
He has gone BIS-4 3 times
He has gone BIS-5 2 times
He has won BEST OF BREED 51 times so far

His greatest win so far is the BEST IN SHOW in Finnish Winner show-06, where he won over 8500 dogs:

Here is a sample of one of his show critics, from judge Ove Germundson in Larv show in May 2007:

'Very appealing male with excellent proportions without any exaggeration. Wonderful head and expression. Excellent neck, back and tail. Proper bonestructure. Good paws. Excellent front, correctly shaped ribcage of right length. Excellent movements. Correct coat. A dog who is beautiful and who surely can also work!'

Espen has sired a few litters and we're excited to see how his offspring will grow and mature. There are already several champions in his offspring.
He is available for approved, high quality bitches only.  

So far we have shown his progeny class a couple of times with nice results, his group has gone BIS-1 a couple of times, for example at the Nordic Winner -show -08 in Herning, Denmark. His group has also several BIS-placements.  

Here is the critics for his very first progeny group:

'A male who has left the best of himself to his offspring. Excellent heads and expressions. Correct proportions. Healthy. Very well moving sleddogs. A father who can be proud of his offspring!'

We would like to thank Espen's great breeders, Joaquin & Ola, for letting us have this dream-male! He has already brought us a lot of joy, and we are sure that more will follow :)
